What We Believe
We believe God wants to use our lives. We welcome Christians, skeptics, and anyone else who is interested in living with purpose and knowing more about God.
We believe we live a world longing to be set right again with people asking “if this is all there is, then why do I still feel like something is missing?” The Bible is not just a book to us but a story of how God is going to set the world right again. In hit songs we often hear lyrics like “I didn’t know I was broken til I wanted to change”, “who are we to tell us who we are”, and “I wonder why I feel hopelessness when I watch the news”. We believe Jesus can remake us, tell us who we are, and give our lives hope and purpose. Because of Jesus we now have a relationship with God that gives us the wholeness we were looking for and we want others to experience this for themselves.
We have a weekly large group meeting speaking on relevant topics and the Bible. We welcome people from all perspectives to come and join the conversation. Our discipleships groups are times to share life and be spurred on by hearing what God is doing through people in our community and to hear from God’s word to know Him more and impact the world around us.
We also have a weekly freshmen meeting to get to know yourself and others better! If you’re looking for a place to make friends and share life, this is it!
All are welcome!
Inviting others to join a community of broken and skeptical people who are being transformed by personally experiencing God; and to join a spiritual family who are living with purpose according to the diverse and creative ways God has called them.
- Safe – We believe we can’t be what God has called us to be if we play games with each other. Whatever background, major, or place we are coming from we need to be able to share our faults and weaknesses and not fake it. That’s authenticity, just being real.
- Experience – We believe real change happens when we experience something that shakes our world and changes what we know to be true. Jesus used experiences and relevant language to deliver His message and we believe He still does the same thing for us today. We want to experience that God.
- Known – We believe each person is not only unique but worth knowing. We aren’t interested in getting to know the mask each of us wear but rather the person underneath. We want to love you for you and not for any other reason.
- Fun – Somehow we got this idea that following God is boring and repressive and that we have to dull our enjoyment. Well that’s just not our experience. Though fun doesn’t always mean smiling and laughing, we believe when you live with purpose and know why you get out of bed then life is fun together.
“They will know Me when they see Me in your lives” – Paraphrase of Ezekiel 37:27-28
We hope you will feel welcomed by our staff and students as we share a genuine concern for the spiritual growth of our community and a sincere desire to help you know God and live with purpose. We hope we get the chance to meet you!
